Charar-i-Sharif is a revered Muslim shrine devoted to Sheikh Noor-ud-din Wali. Located about 30 km from Srinagar, the shrine was constructed nearly six centuries ago. Sheikh Noor-ud-din Wali was the pioneer of Rishism in Kashmir and advocated values such as non-violence, vegetarianism, communal harmony, and tolerance. After his passing, he was laid to rest at this site, which has since become an important place of spiritual and religious significance.
