Gurez Valley is a high-altitude valley located in the Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at an elevation of around 8,000 feet above sea level, Gurez lies close to the Line of Control and is surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Himalayan range. The valley is about 123 km from Srinagar and can be reached via the scenic Razdan Pass.

The crystal-clear Kishanganga River flows through the valley, adding to its charm. In ancient times, Gurez was an important part of the Silk Route, connecting Kashmir with Gilgit and Central Asia.
